WOD 090412

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a fun Hog Days.  Pay very close attention to the workouts the next couple of days because Friday you will all have a test.  Note in your workout journals what part of your body each individual exercise seems to primarily affect.  I will attach a few articles explaining why some of my favorite exercise movements are effective.  For example, click on the link below to find out more about burpees.

BURPEES!!!

WORKOUT

12 minutes AMRAP
  • 10 Squats
  • 5 Push-Ups
  • 10 Abs
  • 5 Burpees
  • 50 line jumps
ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS

Post your time.  After reading the burpee article, did you try a variation of the burpee?  Have you been able to break through your mental block yet?  As this will be the third full week of workouts, have you achieved any of your minor goals yet?  If so, explain.  If not, have you come up with any minor goals for the near future?

  1. Well I didnt read the article on burpees so no i didnt do any other variations then the normal burpee. no I havent broke your mental block yet6 because i dont have one. and I havent established a goal yet but i do know my new goal, to get better at burpees.

    1. Have you read the ASSIGNED article since? Perhaps it refers to a variation you may find appealing for the future. You have a great minor goal as burpees are truly a full body exercise. Every person has a mental block or you would ascend in from the conscious world. Take an objective look at yourself and try again.

  2. 5 rounds total and I'm very tired.
    I did not take a long break and I pushed myself.
    I've completed every workout without giving up on,that was one of my goals.
    Goals for future is to stay on task more.

  5. My leg is hurt so i tried the one footed burpee. While i was doing the one footed it felt more comfortable and less pressure. I did 8 rounds and 25 line jums the workout felt great on every muscle used except my knee.

  6. I did five rounds, hopefully next time we do this workout I'll be able to get more rounds done. By the time I was done with the third round I was really hot and sweaty.
